Roll on in to Firefly, Dupont Circle's 'back yard', and let the pajama-clad staff wake you up with a cup of coffee and mouth-watering selections from the special brunch menu. There is no shame in wearing PJ's to brunch, as Firefly will reward you with free coffee. Wearing jammies with fireflies on them will ensure a free specially selected cocktail.
Executive Chef Danny Bortnick serves up taste bud-waking sustenance for brunch, featuring a local favorite Eggs Chesapeake ($15) with English muffins topped with crab royale and poached eggs. Bortnick's brunch menu also includes unique takes on old breakfast favorites, such as Green Eggs & Ham ($11), a quiche with spinach and Smithfield Ham, Pop Pop's French Toast ($11), Brioche toast, scented with an aromatic blend of orange and vanilla, and Sun's Special ($10), a mushroom and cheddar omelet and served with home fries. Leaning towards the lunch side of brunch is Bortnick's Egg B.L.T. ($11), made with sourdough toast and a fried egg, the Beef Hamburger ($12), served on an onion roll with Pennsylvania Cheddar, and the Crispy Oysters & Po' Boy Sauce ($14).
Firefly would like to put back a little spark in your overly-patterned life with their happy hour, Fly By...Go Nuts. Shaking things up in Dupont Circle, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., Firefly is serving $3 cocktails, $3 Samuel Adams Light and Samuel Adams seasonal beers, as well as $4 glasses of specially selected red and white wine, all to be savored with $0 mixed nuts - specially selected, seasoned and prepared by Executive Chef Danny Bortnick–complimentary to both the drinks and your wallet.
